As Ambassador, I am deeply honoured to represent the Government of the Republic of Somaliland in the United Kingdom. In this role, I am entrusted with advancing Somaliland’s strategic partnership with the UK Government and safeguarding the interests of our citizens. While committed to strengthening our bilateral relations, I also serve as the primary liaison between the Governments of Somaliland and the United Kingdom.

From its people to its natural resources, the Republic of Somaliland is a nation rich in potential. It has made steady progress in advancing democratic values and has emerged as a growing market economy with significant opportunities for foreign direct investment and diaspora engagement in sectors such as agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and tourism.

These are the hallmarks of a nation striving to prosper, build a stronger future alongside its regional partners, and expand development and investment across the Republic of Somaliland.

We are proud to contribute to the growing promise of intra-African trade, while continuing to foster Somaliland’s development and support the more than two million Somalilanders residing in the United Kingdom. My team and I regularly travel throughout the UK on behalf of the Somaliland Government to engage with our citizens and partners.
